Frequent Questions

Have you ever had a question and didn’t know where to find the answer? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

This section is a compilation of answers to the questions most commonly asked by our constituents. Just start by following one of the links below. If you can’t find the question you wanted to ask, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  1. The neighborhoods South of Downtown are full of people, energy, and diversity. The CDO is a way for the community to work together and will provide an organized and on-going framework for the coordination of neighborhood services, projects, and activities.

  2. We work with residents to plan activities and projects that recognize and build on the strengths of the neighborhood.

  3. Early projects will include asset mapping, relationship building, fundraising, sustainable street lighting, community gardens, tree planting, bike lanes, and neighborhood festivals and events.

  4. We’re always on the lookout for individuals like you wanting to get involved. Visit our How To Help section to find out ways to donate or volunteer.

  5. What is the geographic focus area for South of Downtown CDO?

The project area for the South of Downtown Plan represents roughly five hundred (500) acre area generally bound on the north by L Street, on the east by 17th Street, on the south by A Street, and on the west by 6th Street and 8th Street; and contains all the streets, lots, and open spaces located within that boundary.
